MAXTT SPECIFIC FAQ

  • How does MaxTT seal a hole in the tread of the tyre?
MaxTT creates a thin protective coating between the tyre and the air inside. When an object penetrates the tread, the air pressure forces the sealant into the puncture, sealing it.

  • How does MaxTT prevent rim/bead leaks?
The air pressure inside the tyre forces the sealant towards any weak point, sealing potential leakage areas to prevent air loss.

  • Must a tyre be run after a penetrating object has been removed?
Yes. The tyre must be driven after object removal to allow MaxTT to enter and seal the cavity.

  • Does MaxTT react chemically with the tyre?
No. MaxTT is chemically inert and does not act as an adhesive.

  • Is MaxTT affected by extreme temperatures?
No. MaxTT is more resistant to temperature extremes than the tyre itself.

  • Is MaxTT water dispersible?
Yes. MaxTT is readily water dispersible.

  • Will MaxTT rust the rim of the tyre?
No. MaxTT contains anticorrosive agents to prevent corrosion and will help to inhibit any existing corrosion on the wheel.

  • Will MaxTT seal a puncture in the sidewalls of a tyre?
No. While MaxTT may seal the puncture temporarily, sidewall flexing makes it unsafe as a permanent solution.

  • Will MaxTT create a hard plug in the tyre?
No. The plug is designed to be flexible to match the tyre's flexing and prevent leakage.

  • Will MaxTT dry out in the tyre?
No. Since the tyre is a closed container, no evaporation occurs, and MaxTT remains in the same condition as when inserted.

  • Can MaxTT plug up the tyre valve stem during installation?
Yes, if the pump is used too quickly. If this happens, remove the pump connection and allow a short blast of air to clear the plug, or use a thin wire to clear the valve stem.

  • Can I pump against a truck tyre pressure of 100 lbs with a hand pump?
Yes, but only using the supplied pump. It is recommended to lower the pressure to 60-70 psi for safety.

  • How much MaxTT is ejected with a full stroke of the pump?
A 2.4-liter container pump dispenses 30ml per stroke. There are also 100ml and 250ml hand pumps available for 20-liter containers.

  • Can MaxTT be used in a tubed tyre?
Yes, but success cannot be guaranteed due to the varying quality and condition of tubes.

  • What is the difference between MaxTT and other sealants?
MaxTT is specifically designed to combat global warming and offers unique sealant properties. When properly installed, it does not affect wheel balance or rubber properties and provides maximum protection.

  • Is MaxTT recyclable?
Yes, MaxTT is fully recyclable and is a 3600 Alliance product.

  • What is the difference between MaxTT and products sold in aerosol cans?
Products in aerosol cans are usually temporary solutions for repairing tyres after a puncture. MaxTT is installed before punctures occur to prevent them.

  • Is MaxTT flammable?
    No, MaxTT is not flammable.

  • Is MaxTT toxic?
No, MaxTT uses a food-grade glycol and other compounds that are non-toxic at these levels.

  • Does MaxTT affect the manufacturer’s warranty?
No. Since MaxTT does not react with rubber components, it does not affect the tyre warranty.

  • What is the effect of MaxTT on tyres?
MaxTT maintains air pressure, prevents punctures and blowouts, reduces overheating, prevents porosity leaks, and extends the tyre's life.

  • What occurs in a tyre when MaxTT is installed?
The tyre is sealed to prevent any future air loss.

  • Can MaxTT be installed in used tyres?
Yes, MaxTT can be used in both new and used tyres.

  • What types of tyres can MaxTT be used on?
MaxTT can be used on any pneumatic tyre, though it works best on tubeless tyres.

  • What sizes of containers is MaxTT available in?
    MaxTT is available in 1, 2, 4, 20, and 1,000-liter containers.

  • How long is the shelf life of MaxTT?
Stored in containers with sealed caps, away from direct sunlight, and at temperatures not exceeding 25-30°C, MaxTT will last indefinitely. If not used for 1-2 weeks or longer, pumps should be removed, container caps sealed, and pumps flushed and cleaned. Regular maintenance and cleaning of pumps and nozzles are recommended to prevent blockages and ensure correct volume.
